A downloadable asset pack

Shattered stones, fleshy nightmares and rusted metal monstrosities.

An expanded and cleaned up version of the textures created and used for my Quake map Towers of Torment. Here are 90 industrial, otherworldly and dismal textures inspired by the likes of Hellraiser 2 and Lovecraft Dream Cycle cover art.

Included are the textures in both the Quake palette (with WAD file), and also true colour versions for those who want a little more colour definition. Please note though they were designed with Quake's colour palette in mind and won't deviate far from that.

Most textures are 256x256, tile seamlessly, and have a number of variations and appropriate trim sheets for level design purposes.

  • FREE (though donations are appreciated).
  • NO generative AI used.

Updates?

Feel free to suggest additions, I'm open to expanding the pack further so long as they fit the theme and aren't too beyond the scope of the project.

I'm also developing a new map with the texture set, so you can probably expect some additions by the time that's done.

Licensing

  • You may use these textures in both free and commercial projects, and modify them to suit your own needs.
  • Attribution is all that I ask (an example is included).
  • You may NOT redistribute, resell, or repackage the textures (modified or unmodified) as game assets but have to incorporate them into your product (game).
  • You may NOT use these textures for generative AI training purposes.

Hey, great texture pack. I totally love the fact that they are hand tailored and not made by AI.

Will use them in a raycasting 3d engine that i'm building from scratch. Nothing commercial. Will recommend your page when I publish my experiment,

I habe a small suggestion for your shop page: It would be nice if you could provide the texture resolution somewhere in the description.

Thx and have a good time
